If you need help right now
You don't need a booking or a Formind account. Tele-MANAS is a free government helpline, open 24 hours a day, in English and many Indian languages.

What Formind is, and isn't
Formind is for scheduled sessions, not emergencies. Psychologists on Formind see clients at booked times and are not on call, so booking a session is not a way to get help today. If you need help now, the numbers at the top of this page are the right place to start.
If your psychologist is worried about you
They will talk with you about it. If they believe you or someone else is in immediate danger, they may advise in-person or emergency care, and may contact the person you named as your emergency contact. This is one of the narrow exceptions to confidentiality, and your psychologist will explain it in your first session.
Attempting suicide is not a crime in India: the Mental Healthcare Act 2017 (section 115) says a person who attempts it is presumed to be under severe stress and is to be given care, not punished.
If you are thinking about ending your life, call Tele-MANAS on 14416. It's free and open 24 hours a day.

If they aren't, but you're concerned
You can call Tele-MANAS on 14416 yourself and talk through what you've noticed and what to do next. It's free, and you don't need to be the one who is struggling.
